SCREENING AND SELECTION OF TRAINEE-APPLICANTS

 

Initial Screening

Following the requirements set by the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority (TESDA) with regards to the implementation of the Skills & Technology Transfer Project (STTP) following the JITCO Scheme, MAVENTECH Foundation carried out the following guidelines and procedures in selecting qualified trainee candidates:


  • Filipino Citizen with ages ranging from 20 to 38 years old
  • At least High School graduate with Diploma
  • Presently employed with at least one (1) year of working experience
  • Possesses the required skill for training
  • With passed Trade Test Certificate
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • With no criminal record
  • With no overstaying or record of illegal stay in any country

Initial ScreAn applicant who possesses the above qualification may apply for the technical training through the Foundation. ening conducted by the staff of the foundation shall be the basis whether the applicant shall be lined up for a possible interview by any officer of the foundation


A briefing or orientation about the training program will be conducted for at least one and a half hours and the foundation welcomes questions from the possible applicants

 

Document Authentication and Character Investigation

  • The Foundation shall devise its own ways and means in the verification and authentication of documents, submitted by the trainee - applicant ( personal verification by calls, inquiries and character evaluation )


  • In case of doubt, an applicant shall be subjected to character investigation by visiting the family, inquiries among friends and within the community. Applicants with records of TNT or with TNT relatives in Japan are automatically discouraged to proceed with the next step.

 

Preliminary Intervew

The President or any authorized officer of the foundation will conduct the Preliminary Interview on the applicant regarding the details of personal information written on his/her application form. The pertinent documents like resume, picture, certificate of employment, and other documents will be attached to his application/personal information sheet provided by the foundation.
  • The Foundation shall prepare a short list of passed applicants for interview by Japanese Accepting companies. This list shall be submitted to the Accepting Organization.
  • If the Accepting Organization shall submit the specifications of the skills and the nature of the Accepting company, applicant/s shall be allowed to select which Accepting company they shall be interviewed.

Preliminary Basic Japanese Language Training shall be set to prepare the trainee candidates for the actual company interview. In the said session, they will be taught to speak and introduce themselves and be able to remember the basic interview language being used. An introductory Japanese Style of Interview will be introduced also.

Final Interview

The Accepting Organization will send their schedule for interview of trainee-applicants and the Foundation will prepare their shortlist of qualified trainee-applicants to be interviewed by the Accepting Organization together with the Accepting Companies.

Other Preparatory Activities

The Foundation shall observe the guidelines and procedures set by TESDA in the submission of trainees' documents for authentications and further verification.

 

 



PRE-DEPARTURE TRAINING ( Philippines )


Nihongo Class

Trainees preparing to come to Japan must take the 3-month Japanese Language Education. The Japanese Language Education is provided for the trainees before their dispatch in order to facilitate adaptation to their training/technical internships and everyday life in Japan . The trainee will be taught about the everyday living, at work, different sets of expressions for different types of tasks and duties involved in training/technical internship concerned, about their safety and health, and about the safety and manners in Japan .

 

Work Ethics and Spiritual Advice

A three-day seminar, one of the pre requisites for the training program by TESDA (Technical Education Skills and Development Authority) before the dispatch of the trainees.

The seminar helps the trainees for them to know their goals before and after their training and how to be efficient with their training. It is occasionally held at the training office of the sending organization or depending upon the agreement of the accredited mentor and the President of the S.O. (Sending Organization).

 

Visa Application

When the trainees' Certificate of Eligibility was released, the foundation prepares and assists their documents that must be needed for their visa application at Japan Embassy.

 

Nihongo Class Graduation and Contract Signing

 

 

These gatherings give a chance to the foundation to meet the families of the trainees. During this event, the families will be briefed about the conditions during the training of the trainees in Japan and how they can help the trainees for them to be more efficient during their training. Contract signing is the agreement regarding training and between the sending organization, the trainees and their guarantors.

 

PDOS (Pre-Departure Orientation / Seminar)

This is the last requirement to comply for the successful trainees before departure. PDOS is held at the Sending Organization's office, which is located at Tanauan City , Batangas.

The trainees will be informed about the importance of the training program and discuss the consequences that the trainees may encounter in Japan during their training and giving them advices on what should be their contributions after their arrival to the Philippines .
 

 


DEPARTURE AND TRAINING ( Japan )

Departure

New batch of trainees should undergo upto 24-day orientation/seminar in a training center that will be handled by the Accepting Organization (AO). The trainees will be informed about:

  • Daily Life in Japan
  • Events/Holidays in Japan
  • Cost of Living, Money, Shopping, Additional Tax Values
  • Laws and Manners in Living in Japan
  • Sending and Saving Money to Bank
  • Japan , some facts and it's geography
  • Japanese Company working condition
